A project for you. A present for a child in need.
Our Santa bags are made by students and other volunteers, from intermediate and high school students to those who simply enjoy sewing and helping others. They’re an ideal project for students who are taking textiles at school, or those undertaking a service award, such as Duke of Edinburgh.
Keen to make a Santa bag (or several)? Here’s how it works…
- You’ll receive a maker’s kit with instructions, pre-cut pieces of fabric and ribbon.
- You’ll need a sewing machine and either white, cream, red or green thread.
- Depending on how experienced you are at sewing, the Santa bags take between 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete.
- We’ll pick up the finished bags, which will be personalised with a child’s name closer to Christmas.
- More Kiwi children will have a happier Christmas, thanks to you!
